3 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield posted a message on his Twitter account on Tuesday evening thanking the fans of the team. The Browns front office said that Mayfield was their starting quarterback heading into the 2022 season at the NFL combine just a few weeks ago, but they're having second thoughts about Mayfield and have been fielding exploratory trade calls on him this week. The Browns also met with Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson on Tuesday and are interested in trading him despite his pending legal issues. The 26-year-old missed just three games in 2021, but he was pretty bad while dealing with a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder for most of the year. Even when healthy, Mayfield is a midrange QB2, at best, and it's looking more and more likely that he won't be in Cleveland in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
