2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield hasn't been with his new team long. However, now that Mayfield is out of Cleveland, reports have surfaced regarding his negative connection with some of his former teammates, with some allegedly viewing the signal-caller as "childish and immature." The news cited specific instances, such as the "apparent beef" between Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. The 2018 No. 1 overall pick also didn't gain favor in the locker room due to his unfavorable relationship with reporters, especially his poor temperament and unwillingness to speak with them. As a result, Mayfield was deemed "often difficult to coach," although he'll surely have his own version of how things played out in Cleveland. Nevertheless, he will have a fresh start in Carolina. Yet, not only will he have to play well to become and remain the team's starter. But he will also have to earn respect from his new squadmates.
