7 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Bartolo Colon (back) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list on Friday. Colon suffered a lower back strain after his awful outing on Monday against the Athletics. There is a decent chance that Monday could've been Colon's last start with the Rangers. He's been horrendous this season and Texas may decide to give younger arms a chance in September. Infielder Hanser Alberto has been recalled to take Colon's spot on the active roster.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
