7 years agoTexas Rangers manager Jeff Banister said that starting pitcher Bartolo Colon will be moved to the bullpen. Adrian Sampson will make the start in his place on Tuesday against the Angels. The 45-year-old hurler just hasn't been fantasy relevant this year, going 7-12 with a 5.55 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and only 81 strikeouts in 144 1/3 innings over 26 outings (24 starts). He's said he wants to continue his illustrious career in 2018, but there likely won't be many teams interested. Sampson was 8-7 with Triple-A Round Rock with a 3.77 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and weak 6.0 K/9 in 33 outings (19 starts).
