Bears Bring In Trevor Siemian
3 years agoThe Chicago Bears gave free-agent backup quarterback Trevor Siemian a two-year deal worth $4 million on Friday, according to a source. Siemian has a chance to make $5 million total through incentives. The 30-year-old signal-caller spent 2021 with the New Orleans Saints, playing in six games (four starts) while going 108-for-188 for 1,154 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. He filled in for an injured Jameis Winston but eventually was replaced by Taysom Hill under center. Siemian will join Nick Foles as the backups to second-year QB Justin Fields in Chicago. He won't be fantasy relevant unless Fields misses time with an injury, and even then, he'd be nothing more than a low-end QB2 in leagues that start two quarterbacks.
