Bears Could Be A Player For Marquez Valdes-Scantling
3 years agoThe Chicago Bears, who are in on a lot of available wide receivers, are one to watch when it comes to free-agent wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Bears coach Luke Getsy was with Valdes-Scantling with the Green Bay Packers. ESPN's Josina Anderson also reported that the Las Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans are showing preliminary interest in MVS, according to a league source. The Bears are in desperate need of adding playmakers for second-year quarterback Justin Fields. Valdes-Scantling, 27, has been an inconsistent deep threat in his four NFL seasons, and no matter where he goes, he'll be downgrading at QB from Aaron Rodgers. He had 26 catches on 55 targets for 430 yards and three touchdowns in 11 regular season games in 2021.
