Bears Don't Believe David Montgomery Tore His ACL
3 years agoAdam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Chicago Bears don't believe running back David Montgomery (knee) tore his ACL in Sunday's Week 4 win over the Detroit Lions. He suffered a left knee injury in Sunday's win and did not return. The 24-year-old is scheduled to undergo an MRI, and a timeline for the Bears running back return will be more precise once the results are in. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation as the Bears are expected to provide an update soon. Damien Williams would be the Bears' primary running back if Montgomery were to miss any games. He rushed for 55 yards on eight carries and a touchdown in Week 4. Williams hurt his quad in Week 4, and head coach Matt Nagy offered no updates on either running back. Stay tuned.
