7 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Cameron Meredith has been tendered a contract of $1.9 million to stay with the team, per Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune. Meredith came into last season as the No. 1 receiver in a talent-thin Bears receiving corps but tore his ACL in the preseason. The Bears are almost certain to bring in multiple pass catchers via free agency and the draft, and Meredith will have to earn a spot on the team. When healthy, Meredith is a savvy route runner and has the size to become an intriguing target for quarterback Mitch Trubisky. The contract signed simply is to bring Meredith to camp to see if he can return to his 2016 form.--Joey C - RotoBaller
