Beau Brieske Strikes Out Eight In Rehab Start

2 years agoDetroit Tigers rookie right-hander Beau Brieske (forearm) looked really good in his latest minor league rehab start for Triple-A Toledo on Friday night, giving up one run on three hits while striking out eight and walking none in 4 1/3 innings of work. He has given up three runs on eight hits while striking out 10 and walking two in his two rehab starts since landing on the injured list in mid-July with right forearm fatigue. There's a chance that Friday's outing was his last before rejoining Detroit's starting rotation at some point next week. In his first 15 big-league starts in 2022, the 24-year-old has gone 3-6 with a 4.19 ERA (4.97 FIP), A 1.20 WHIP and a 54:25 K:BB in 81 2/3 innings pitched.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
