7 years agoAfter suffering a strained right oblique prior to the season, it appears as if Seattle Mariners outfielder Ben Gamel is finally ready to join the team. With Ichiro Suzuki currently playing right field in Seattle, a Gamel return would likely see him regain the starting role with Suzuki shifting to the bench. Last season, Gamel showed his potential, hitting .275 with 11 home runs, 59 RBI and four stolen bases. If he is able to get regular playing time, he could be a sneaky waiver wire pick up. With his return likely coming Wednesday, now might be the perfect time to add him.--Dan Fappiano
