6 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Ben Gamel went 3-for-3 on Sunday, with one walk, one triple and two runs scored against the Angels. He currently is in a platoon role with outfielder Guillermo Heredia in center field despite Gamel hitting .306 over his last 85 at-bats. The team is in love with the potential and intangibles of Heredia but he has failed to deliver at the plate this season. Gamel is a capable hitter who drove in 59 runs last season but questions remain whether he can handle the everyday responsibilities in center. Seattle could also still try and swing a deal at the deadline that could further push Gamel down the depth chart. The left-handed hitting outfielder, for now, has little fantasy value moving forward.--Joey C - RotoBaller
