Bengals Claim Devin Asiasi Off Waivers From Patriots

2 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals claimed former New England Patriots tight end Devin Asiasi off waivers on Wednesday. Asiasi was waived by the Patriots on roster cutdown day on Tuesday, but he'll resurface quickly in Cincinnati. The 25-year-old was a third-round pick in 2020 and caught just two passes on seven targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in 10 games for the Patriots in two years. He played in just one game in 2021 and wasn't targeted at all. The Bengals are also signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard on Wednesday, so Asiasi figures to be buried on the TE depth chart in Cincy behind Hayden Hurst, Howard, Drew Sample and Mitchell Wilcox.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
