Bengals Sign Zac Taylor To Contract Extension
3 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals signed head coach Zac Taylor to a contract extension that runs through the 2026 season on Wednesday. Taylor and the Bengals lost Super Bowl LVI to the Los Angeles Rams, but Taylor was still well-deserving of an extension after taking the franchise to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1989. The 38-year-old was entering the final season of the original four-year deal he signed in 2019. In addition to the Super Bowl appearance, the Bengals earned their first playoff win in 31 seasons and went 10-7 in the regular season to win the AFC North. Taylor is 16-32-1 in three seasons with Cincinnati, but he's built a strong foundation, beginning with quarterback Joe Burrow, who took a huge step forward in his second NFL season.
