2 years agoColorado Rockies outfield prospect Benny Montgomery went 1-for-5 for Single-A Fresno on Friday and has put together a strong campaign in 2022. With the exception of six games in Rookie Ball, Montgomery has spent the bulk of his season with Fresno. Between both levels this season, the 19-year-old has hit .270 with four homers, 28 RBI and six stole bases over 204 at-bats. The eighth overall pick in the 2021 draft, Montgomery offers strong contact skills with a maturing body that should only help his power game improve. He also has a strong defensive game for the center fielder and should stay at the position in the future. Still a few years away from making an impact in the big leagues, Montgomery is a name that dynasty managers should start monitoring.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
