3 years agoRunning back Bilal Powell signed a one-day contract on Tuesday to officially retire as a member of the New York Jets. Powell was originally drafted in the fourth round in 2011 by the Jets out of Louisville, and he spent all nine of his NFL seasons in New York, accumulating 850 carries for 3,675 yards (4.3 yards per attempt) and 15 touchdowns while also adding 211 catches for 1,600 yards and five more TDs on 309 targets in 109 games (38 starts). The 33-year-old last played in the NFL in 2019, when he had 59 carries for 229 yards while catching seven passes for 33 yards in 13 games (one start). Powell never got to play in a postseason game in his NFL career in his time with Gang Green.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
