3 years agoNew England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said he plans to return for the 2022 season after the 47-17 blowout loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills in the wild-card game on Saturday night. In Belichick's 22-year reign as the head coach in New England, he had never before lost by more than 19 points in the playoffs. After missing the playoffs last year, the Patriots returned in 2021 despite losing four of their first six games with rookie quarterback Mac Jones running the offense. But they rebounded, rattling off seven straight wins in the middle of the season before losing four of their last five contests. "We have to take a good long look again not just at one game, but all 18," Belichick said Sunday morning in his season-ending presser. "You could argue there were elements in last night's game in some other games."--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
