Bills Bullish On Khalil Shakir
2 years agoThe Buffalo Bills seem bullish on rookie fifth-round wide receiver Khalil Shakir's potential this year despite his status as a late-round draft pick. Shakir had six good practices in a row at training camp before a temporary lapse with multiple drops on Monday. However, the rookie bounced back in practice on Tuesday, showing his usual smooth route-running and footwork, and he played well in one-on-one work. The 22-year-old appears to be a lock to make the roster out of training camp and the preseason, but he's unlikely to be fantasy relevant in single-year leagues with Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Isaiah McKenzie and veteran Jamison Crowder ahead of him on the depth chart. The Bills will likely continue to develop Shakir in a depth role in 2022.
