Bills Claim Wide Receiver Isaiah McKenzie Off Waivers
6 years agoThe Buffalo Bills claimed wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie off waivers from the Denver Broncos on Monday. The Bills tried to claim McKenzie last week when he was on the Broncos practice squad, but Denver promoted him to their 53-man active roster after cutting quarterback Chad Kelly. However, the Broncos decided that he wasn't in their future plans and released him this week. The Bills jumped on their chance to snag the second-year pro, who has four receptions for 29 yards in 12 career appearances. Buffalo released rookie wideout Cam Phillips in order to make room for the 23-year-old. McKenzie does not hold any current fantasy value, but he does provide the speed and explosiveness that the team sorely lacks at receiver and in the return game.
