3 years agoThe Buffalo Bills exercised the fifth-year option for defensive tackle Ed Oliver on Tuesday. Oliver was taken ninth overall in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft out of Houston and has been a dependable interior defensive lineman in his first three seasons in Buffalo. He had 41 tackles (29 solo), 10 tackles for loss, 14 QB hits, four sacks, three passes defensed and one forced fumble in 17 regular season games last year. Oliver has a total of 117 tackles (76 solo), 21 tackles for loss, 28 QB hits, 12 sacks, eight passes defensed and three forced fumbles in 49 games (40 starts) in his three NFL seasons. Oliver becomes the fourth player to have his fifth-year option exercised, joining Jets defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, Seahawks tight end Noah Fant and 49ers pass-rusher Nick Bosa.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
