Bills Release Cole Beasley
3 years agoThe Buffalo Bills are releasing wide receiver Cole Beasley on Thursday, according to sources. The Bills gave Beasley permission to seek a trade earlier this month, so it's not a huge surprise that they are moving on from the 32-year-old wide receiver after he created some controversy in 2021 by not getting vaccinated against COVID-19. Beasley was one of quarterback Josh Allen's most trusted short-area weapons in the passing game, especially on third downs. A rib injury slowed him late last season, but he finished with a second straight season of 82 catches for 693 yards and one touchdown in 16 games (eight starts). Beasley could be a nice low-cost PPR weapon in deeper leagues in 2022, depending on his landing spot. Meanwhile, Gabriel Davis' role continues to grow in Buffalo.
