Bills The Top Suitor For Evan Engram?
3 years agoThe Buffalo Bills have been identified as a top suitor for New York Giants impending free-agent tight end Evan Engram, according to a source. One source thinks Engram is best suited for a one-year, prove-it deal in the $7-8 million range, with incentives potentially pushing it to $10 million. The four-year, $42 million deal the Cleveland Browns signed Austin Hooper to in 2020 could be used as a floor by Engram's camp this offseason. Engram will likely be priced out of the Giants budget as they look to get under the salary cap in 2022. The Bills already have Dawson Knox, but Buffalo could be looking at more two-tight end sets next year, and Engram has the ability to play the slot as a receiver. Engram is still only 27 years old, but injuries and drops have held him back so far. It's unlikely he'd be a breakout candidate in Buffalo.
