Bills Will Pick Up Ed Oliver's Option
3 years agoBuffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane said that the team will pick up defensive tackle Ed Oliver's fifth-year option worth $10.753 million close to the May 2 deadline. Beane doesn't expect a long-term deal to be reached before that, and there is no sense of urgency to get one done. Oliver was the ninth overall pick in the 2019 draft out of Houston and has recorded 117 tackles (76 solo), 21 tackles for loss, 28 QB hits, three forced fumbles and 12 sacks in his first three NFL seasons in Buffalo. He will continue to help solidify a strong Bills interior defensive line for at least the next two seasons.
