Billy Hamilton Begins Rehab Assignment Saturday

3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Billy Hamilton (oblique) is beginning a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday, according to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun Times. Hamilton is in the Knights' lineup as the designated hitter on Saturday and is leading off against the Norfolk Tides. He's been out of action since the beginning of August after suffering a right oblique strain, Hamilton has provided some value in deeper formats this year, as he's slashing .226/.245/.396 with two homers, eight steals, 11 RBI and 19 runs scored. His only asset is his speed, and when healthy he can be a streaming option in daily leagues when he's in the lineup.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
