6 years agoCincinnati Reds center fielder Billy Hamilton went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts and a steal in Friday's loss to the Rockies. The steal was just Hamilton's ninth of the season. Hamilton has gotten off to a slow start in all aspects of his game, batting a mere .199 (.244 career average) with a .288 on-base percentage (.297 career average) and an alarmingly high 30.6% strikeout rate (20.2% career average). Still more troubling is Hamilton's lack of steals; he is on pace for just 29 this season compared to an average of 58 each of his last three seasons. Hamilton should not be owned in any points leagues, and at this rate will be a disappointment to those who own him in categories leagues unless he starts swiping more bags.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
