6 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Billy McKinney has been a pleasant surprise for the team since he was recalled from Triple-A on Aug. 17. He was 2-for-4 at the plate on Sunday afternoon with a run scored and a walk. McKinney was acquired from the Yankees earlier in the season as part of the J.A. Happ trade. He is now carrying a .391 average with three home runs and nine RBI through eight games with the Blue Jays. McKinney was unimpressive in the minor leagues this season, which suggests that this production will not last. Regardless, he is definitely gaining value in AL-only formats as he has batted in the leadoff spot in three of the past four games.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
