6 years agoDetroit Tigers reliever Blaine Hardy pitched quite well on Monday in a loss to the Yankees. Hardy entered in the sixth inning after Tyson Ross was chased and delivered 1 2/3 innings of perfect ball while striking out two. Hardy was solid out of the bullpen last year for the Tigers, with a 3.56 ERA in 86 innings of work. He's also shown an ability to limit the long ball throughout his career, at a rate of .80 HR/9. He's an obvious holds candidate in Detroit, but who knows how often he'll enter with the lead? The Tigers have managed to score just seven runs all season.--Tyler Germain - RotoBaller
