6 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Blaine Hardy made another spot start on Tuesday, his sixth of the season, as the Tigers continue to battle injury issues in their rotation. With Francisco Liriano (hamstring), Jordan Zimmermann (shoulder) and Daniel Norris (groin) all on the shelf, Hardy has stepped up in a big way. Hardy threw six innings of two-run ball, scattering three hits while striking out five. He has a 3.55 ERA on the year and has gone at least six innings in each of his last four starts. He'll get the struggling White Sox next time out in what would seem to be a favorable matchup.--Tyler Germain - RotoBaller
