6 years agoMinnesota Twins closer Blake Parker pitched a scoreless ninth inning against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday to nail down his third save of the season. Parker worked around a one-out walk, notching two strikeouts to end the game. Parker is off to an excellent start as the Twins' new closer, posting a 1.80 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, and three strikeouts in five innings. While the Minnesota closer role was up in the air when the season started, Parker is running away with the ninth-inning job with his strong pitching. Still available in 50% of Yahoo leagues, Parker is a strong waiver add.--Matt T - RotoBaller
