3 years agoSan Diego Padres left-hander Blake Snell (groin) wasn't quite as sharp in his second minor league rehab outing on Wednesday for Single-A Lake Elsinore, allowing four runs (three earned) on two walks and four hits. The 29-year-old threw 40 of his 66 pitches for strikes over his four innings of work and struck out eight, giving him a 12:3 K:BB over eight innings in his first two rehab games. He will report back to the Padres on Thursday before determining his next step as he attempts to rejoin San Diego's starting rotation. Snell has been out since April 11 with a left adductor strain, and he's likely to need at least one more minor league start before the Padres feel comfortable activating him from the injured list.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
