3 years agoAccording to The Athletic's Dennis Lin, San Diego Padres starting pitcher Blake Snell (groin) is expected to be placed on the injured list on Thursday. Per Lin, Padres manager Bob Melvin said the team believes Snell's injury to be mild. The 29-year-old was previously scratched from his first start of the season on Sunday. The 2018 American League Cy Young winner made 27 starts for San Diego last season, throwing 128 2/3 innings and pitching to a 4.20 ERA and a 3.82 FIP.
