Blake Snell Fans Seven In No-Decision
4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Blake Snell took a no-decision Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, allowing two earned runs over five innings. After getting yanked in the first frame his last outing, Snell labored again in this contest, requiring 95 pitches to complete five frames. However, he was able to work around deep counts, yielding just two knocks and two walks while striking out seven. The left-hander owns a 4.11 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and superb 24 strikeouts in 15 ⅓ frames. While the peripheral metrics aren't encouraging, Snell has certainly been usable in fantasy for the whiffs. He draws a rematch with the Dodgers next Friday at Chavez Ravine.
