6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell will pitch on Opening Day on March 28 against the Houston Astros. No surprise here for the reigning American League Cy Young award winner. He posted a 21-5 record with a stunning 1.89 ERA and 31.6 percent strikeout rate in 2018. Snell hasn't been touched so far this spring, tossing four strikeouts over three innings. One of those strikeouts came against Philadelphia Phillies shiny new toy Bryce Harper. Snell will pitch in a minor league game Saturday and then again against the Pirates on March 22 as his final tune-up. As expected, he's being drafted as a top arm in the AL and fantasy owners should feel comfortable with that value.--Zach Alexander
