3 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Blake Snell was pulled after seven no-hit innings Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The left-hander was brilliant with 10 strikeouts, but was lifted after 107 pitches and the Friars eventually lost the no-no courtesy of the bullpen. Aside from two walks, Snell was automatic with his slider clicking at a high level. The 28-year-old has turned it on in his past six starts with a 1.72 ERA, 13.3 K/9 and 4.5 strikeout-to-walk ratio. The strong run has pulled his season totals to a manageable 4.31 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and excellent 30 percent strikeout rate over 121 innings. He'll draw a matchup at home with the Los Angeles Angels next week and should be trusted as an SP3.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
