Blake Snell Plans To Ramp Up To Five IP Wednesday
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays left-handed pitcher Blake Snell has been handled with extreme caution thus far in 2020, although the plan for his start Wednesday may deviate, as the former Cy Young winner is eyeing at least five innings against Boston. Snell has seen his pitch count increase across each of his first three starts, capping out at 59 last Friday. While he has been essentially an effective opener, season-long owners can rejoice in the fact that it sounds like the southpaw will at least be on the hill long enough to potentially qualify for a win. Snell has compiled a 3.10 ERA in 10 career starts against the Red Sox, and with many of their key hitters slumping, he may be a solid DFS pick so long as his price tag comes down from its exorbitant levels.
