Blake Snell Pulled After Four Frames In Blowout Win

3 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Blake Snell lasted just four innings despite giving up no runs Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Spotted a five-run lead, the left-hander was his own worst enemy, enduring too many long at-bats and requiring 81 pitches to get 12 outs. He fanned three on the day while permitting two knocks and four free passes. Snell continues his turbulent campaign, owning a mediocre 4.99 ERA and 1.55 WHIP over 70 ⅓ innings. While the 30 percent strikeout rate buoys his fantasy value, statcast indicators suggest Snell hasn't encountered excessive bad luck.
