6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell was hit hard on Wednesday in Kansas City, giving up seven earned runs in just three innings. This is Snell's second consecutive rough start since coming off the injured list with a toe injury. The reigning Cy Young winner started the season strong but has not gotten out of the fourth inning in each of his last two starts. Despite the rough starts, Snell is still generating an elite 18.9 percent swinging-strike rate and inducing more weak contact than he did last year, so he should be able to turn it around soon, assuming he is indeed healthy. He'll have a juicy matchup at home versus the Diamondbacks in his next scheduled start on Monday.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
