6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell threw six innings of one run ball with nine strikeouts, but failed to get the win Saturday in New York. The Rays didn’t give him any run support, but ended up winning 2-1 on homers in the seventh and 11th innings from Brandon Lowe and Austin Meadows, respectively. Snell has been great over his last three starts, with 30 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings and let up only two earned runs in that span. He hasn’t been able to get past the sixth inning which is likely due to the high strikeout numbers. He remains one of the best pitchers in fantasy baseball and should be started in every matchup. Next up will be a plus matchup against a struggling Cleveland lineup.--Zach Alexander
