Blake Snell's Clunker Halts Streaking Padres

3 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Blake Snell served up five earned runs in 3 ⅔ innings in a loss Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Snell fanned seven in his short outing but was again plagued by extended counts, yielding three walks and five knocks including two long balls. The left-hander continues his disappointing campaign, meandering to a 4.50 ERA and 1.52 WHIP through 10 starts despite a 33 percent strikeout rate. He's only lasted six innings once. Unfortunately, Snell's underlying stats don't indicate much bad luck, so fantasy managers need to stay patient or shop him at a discount.
