7 years agoThe Boston Red Sox placed catcher Blake Swihart (hamstring) on the 10-day disabled list on Friday with a hamstring strain. Catcher Dan Butler was called up from Triple-A Pawtucket in a corresponding move. The switch-hitting catcher hasn't played much for the Red Sox this year and was hitting only .226 with one home run and six RBI in 115 at-bats. Butler will just be a backup and should be avoided.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
