6 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Blake Treinen worked around a single while striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning for his 11th save Monday against the Los Angeles Angels. Treinen was unavailable on Sunday after throwing a total of 43 pitches in the first two games of the Seattle series. He allowed two runs, including a homer, in Saturday's save chance, so this was much better for his fantasy owners. Treinen hasn't been as automatic as last season, but he still has a respectable 3.08 ERA, 1.33 WHIP while converting 11 of his 13 save opportunities. He remains a must-start fantasy closer across the board.--Daniel Dobish
