Blake Treinen Blows Second Save of Season on Wednesday
7 years agoOakland Athletics closer Blake Treinen allowed Tyler Saladino to score on a Tim Anderson single in the bottom of the ninth inning, blowing his second save of the season. Despite blowing the save, Treinen still has an impressive 0.87 ERA over six games. For now, Treinen is safe as Oakland's closer, however, a few more mishaps like this could see him lose his role. If that becomes the case, perhaps Santiago Casilla or Lou Trivino, the pitcher who replaced Treinen on Wednesday, could take over.
