5 years agoOakland Athletics reliever Blake Treinen allowed four runs on four hits in 2/3 of an inning during Monday's 6-5 loss to the Chicago Cubs. The 31-year-old wasted a strong performance by starter Chris Bassitt. Treinen, who lost the closer role to Liam Hendricks, has struggled to a 4.75 ERA across 43 appearances this season. Treinen was arguably the best reliever in baseball during 2018, but he is not even worth a roster spot at this point in 2019.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
