Blue Jays Activate Kendrys Morales
7 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays have activated designated Kendrys Morales (hamstring) from the 10-day disabled list. Morales was suffering from a hamstring strain but only ended up missing the minimum amount of time. Morales’ playing time situation remains unclear, however. With Curtis Granderson admirably filling in as designated hitter and recently called up outfielder Teoscar Hernandez lighting the world on fire, Morales shouldn’t exactly be guaranteed an everyday starting gig anymore. He’s not worth much fantasy consideration at the moment anyway. His counting stats have been decent (one home run, six RBI, two runs scored through 25 plate appearances), but his .227 batting average and .280 on-base percentage are fantasy killers. Non-factors Gift Ngoepe (shortstop) and Tim Mayza (reliever) were demoted to make room for Morales and shortstop Lourdes Gurriel.
