Blue Jays Are “Extensively Scouting” Milwaukee’s Farm System
6 years agoAs the Toronto Blue Jays fall further and further out of contention, it would make sense to start hearing some rumors as to what teams they are scouting with the trade deadline now less than a month away. Let the hot stove begin. Toronto is reportedly “extensively scouting” the farm system of the Milwaukee Brewers. On the surface, this would seem to make sense. The Brewers are expected to trade for a pitcher, and J.A. Happ will likely be one of the top names available. Happ’s last outing was a bad one, making his overall numbers seem worse than they are, but he still owns a 4.03 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 110 strikeouts to 28 walks across 102 2/3 innings pitched. Moving to the National League Central from the American League East would obviously be a huge boost for Happ’s fantasy outlook.
