6 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays are still working through infielder Yangervis Solarte's 2019 option decision, according to general manager Ross Atkins. Solarte started strong in 2018 but faded and was bothered by injuries in the second half. He finished with a disappointing .226/.277/.378 slash line to go along with 17 home runs and 54 RBI in 122 games. Solarte's power, switch-hitting ability and positional flexibility is nice, but the Blue Jays are going younger and they may choose to let Solarte walk.
