Blue Jays Expected To Sign Dexter Fowler
3 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays are expected to sign free-agent outfielder Dexter Fowler to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training, according to a source. Fowler was limited to seven games last year with the Los Angeles Angels due to a torn ACL in his right knee that he suffered in mid-April. The 36-year-old veteran outfielder was an All-Star with the Chicago Cubs back in 2016, but he hit a combined .233/.334/.408 with 49 home runs, 177 RBI, 191 runs and 21 stolen bases in a four-year span from 2017-20 with the St. Louis Cardinals. In Toronto, he'll purely be veteran outfield depth on a stacked roster and won't have any fantasy appeal for now.
