7 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Nate Pearson has suffered a non-displaced fracture of the ulna bone in his pitching arm and won’t be evaluated again for another four to six weeks. This is miserable news for Pearson, who has been coming along very well after being drafted with the 28th pick in the 2017 draft by Toronto. Across 19 innings pitched in Low-A ball in 2017, Pearson owned a microscopic 0.95 ERA and 0.58 WHIP alongside 24 strikeouts to five walks. Pearson was set to rocket up prospect rankings, but now that’s going to have to wait a bit. He is obviously a player to watch in dynasty formats at the moment.--John Smith
