5 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays are calling up second baseman Cavan Biggio. Cavan, son of Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, will be making his Major League debut. The younger Biggio was a fifth-round draft pick of the Blue Jays in 2016 after playing college baseball at Notre Dame. In 41 Triple-A games with Buffalo this year, Biggio is hitting .306 with six home runs and an OPS of .948. The 24-year-old has also shown a keen eye at the plate, drawing 32 walks while striking out just 26 times. Biggio is a player to watch and see how his bat translates to the big league level. Second base is not very deep, so Biggio is worth an add in AL-only leagues at the very least.--Walt Clark
