Bobby Dalbec Hits Seventh Homer Friday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Bobby Dalbec went deep Friday, driving his seventh long-ball of the year off Blue Jays starter Ross Stripling with one out in the third inning. It's his 15th home run in 75 career games, and he is now only one of 11 Boston players to ever hit his first 15 homers so quickly. Dalbec struck out in his other two plate appearances. Fantasy managers are surely glad to see the power production, but with a .194/.247/.382 slash line for the year, the home runs aren't enough to justify the sacrifices in other categories. It may be about time for fantasy managers to cut bait.
