3 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Bobby Dalbec hit a solo home run against the Tampa Bay Rays Monday, providing the long bright spot in a 6-1 loss. Dalbec went 1-for-3 with a walk in the game. With seven homers in his last 15 games, Dalbec is one of the hottest hitters going, and he's slashed .381/.480/1.024 in 48 plate appearances during that span. Most importantly, he's only struck out eight times in those same 48 plate appearances, representing a significant improvement over his 127 strikeouts in 336 at-bats this season. If he can keep the swings and misses down, the sky is the limit the rest of the way.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
